The loop ring french link snaffle has been developed to give a little more poll pressure.
The cheeks of the bridle are fitted through the top loop. This together with the lower loop for the rein will give extra lift & pol pressure for that extra help for small riders on strong ponies.
The french link mouthpiece still makes it a mild bit.
