The loose ring has more movement & play than a fixed cheek, therefore it discourages a horse from fixing or leaning on the bit.
The tranz angle lozenge is shaped to be more comfortable on the horses tongue & therefore encourages him to reach down & take the bit foward, rather than backing off something that is uncomfortable.
The lozenge is set on at an angle, activating more feel over the tongue, so when a contact is taken, the rounded lozenge rolls down smoothly over the tongue.
The ergonomic design takes up less room in the mouth & does not interfere with the palate.
