The Pessoa Training Aid is a system of ropes and pulleys used whilst lunging, which improves muscle tone and balance by encouraging the horse to take the weight off the forehand and bring his hindquarters underneath him.
Most schooling aids are attached to the girth and therefore only pull the horse´s head into a correct position and neglect the important development of the back muscles.
Young horses can be encouraged to develop strong, well functioning muscles, fit horses can be maintained and horses with poor muscle development can be improved, with the correct use of the Pessoa Training Aid.
Care is required when using this aid as long sessions and overwork could cause muscle strain. (Price does not include roller or lunging cavesson.)
